A monumental kinetic sculpture in steel with flapping wings and internally illuminated panels. Wings move naturally, driven by custom motion control, while LED panels shift through evolving chromatic patterns. The form reads as creature, lantern, and kinetic structure simultaneously.
Commissioned to serve as the centerpiece of Electric Forest's Jardin de Sueños, the butterfly acts as both form and symbol: a vehicle for exploring transformation and energy through motion and light. Encountered among the trees, it evokes the sense of a gentle guardian offering shelter: a place where festival attendees gather with friends to re-energize, converse, and breathe in the moment together.

Acquired by AEG following its debut, Metamorphosis is now on permanent exhibition at Electric Forest.
